Question 1

What is a freight broker and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

A freight broker acts as the intermediary between shippers (businesses that need to move goods) and carriers (trucking companies). We handle finding the right truck, negotiating rates, managing paperwork, and tracking your shipment from pickup to delivery, so you don't have to.

Question 2

What areas do you service?

Accepted Answer

We arrange full truckload shipping across all 48 contiguous United States, plus cross-border freight to and from Canada and Mexico. Whether you're shipping coast-to-coast or regionally, we have carrier partners in every lane.

Question 3

How quickly can you get a rate quote?

Accepted Answer

A real rate in 10 minutes or less. Rush quotes are available. Just let us know your timeline when you submit your request.

Question 4

Do I need a minimum number of shipments to work with you?

Accepted Answer

No minimums. Whether you ship once a month or 50 times a week, we provide the same level of service and competitive rates. Many of our best relationships started with a single load.

Question 5

How are freight rates determined?

Accepted Answer

Rates depend on several factors: distance, lane demand, equipment type (dry van, reefer, flatbed), freight weight and dimensions, pickup/delivery dates, and current market conditions. We provide transparent, all-inclusive quotes with no hidden fees.

Question 6

Are your rates competitive with larger brokerages?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. As an independent agency of TOP Worldwide, we combine the personal service of a small team, where you always talk to Allan, with the carrier network and buying power of one of the nation's top brokerages. This means competitive rates without sacrificing service quality.

Question 7

Do you charge any fees beyond the freight rate?

Accepted Answer

Our quoted rate is all-inclusive for standard service. Additional charges only apply for accessorial services you request, like liftgate, inside delivery, or detention time, and we'll always communicate those upfront before booking.

Question 8

What types of trailers do you have access to?

Accepted Answer

We arrange all major equipment types: Dry Van (53' and 48'), Refrigerated (Reefer), Flatbed, Step Deck, RGN (Removable Gooseneck), Power Only, Conestoga, and specialized/oversized trailers. Whatever your freight requires, we can match it with the right equipment.

Question 9

Can you handle temperature-controlled shipments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with vetted reefer carriers who maintain modern, well-serviced refrigeration units. We ensure proper pre-cooling, continuous temperature monitoring, and FSMA compliance for food-grade shipments.

Question 10

Do you handle oversized or overweight freight?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We arrange permits, pilot cars, and route planning for oversized and overweight loads. Our carrier network includes experienced heavy-haul operators with the right equipment for the job.

Question 11

How can I track my shipment?

Accepted Answer

We provide real-time tracking updates on every load. You'll receive proactive notifications at key milestones: pickup confirmation, in-transit updates, and delivery confirmation. You can also reach Allan anytime for a live update.

Question 12

What happens if there's a problem with my shipment?

Accepted Answer

We handle issues immediately. Whether it's a delay, equipment breakdown, or weather event, we proactively communicate the situation, present solutions, and work to minimize impact on your supply chain. Our goal is to solve problems before you even know they exist.

Question 13

What are your business hours?

Accepted Answer

We're available Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM Eastern. After hours, 24/7/365: our team watches every load around the clock. Email or text anytime.
